Dance Marathon at the University of Michigan is starting the new year off right by celebrating our annual Charity Ball on Saturday, January 28th! Charity Ball is a dancer favorite event that will be held in the League Ballroom from 6:00pm-8:00pm this year. The ball is one of the many events that allows dancers to spend time with their families and dance the night away! The night will feature a live DJ, dancing, and other fun winter-themed activities, so don’t worry if you don’t love dancing!
Claire Lang, a member of the Dancer Relations Committee, said the experience is rewarding, “Seeing how happy all of the kids and their families are it reminds me why we’re raising money. It makes everything we do all year worth it!” The event is open to everyone, so you do not have to be in DMUM to come! All dancers are encouraged to invite their friends to help them learn first hand a bit about what DMUM is and why what we do is so important.
Pre-sale tickets can be purchased early at dmum.donordrive.com for $12 until Thursday, January 26th at 11:59 pm, or they can be purchased at the door for $15. All the money from your ticket and your friends tickets who mention your name at check-in will go straight into your dancer account to help you reach your fundraising goal!
Worked up an appetite from all that dancing and want to get even closer to your fundraising goal? There will be a benefit dinner at Pizza House the entire day of the event, so go out and get dinner with your team or family at Pizza House for extra fun, bonding, and fundraising. DMUM will receive a portion of the proceeds on dine-in orders if you say our name! Dancers, get your friends, invite your families, put on that semi-formal attire, and prepare to have a ball at the upcoming Charity Ball!
