Our families are the heart and soul of Dance Marathon at the University of Michigan. Throughout our time, we have supported over 400 families and children with a wide variety of disabilities and illnesses that have received treatment at either Beaumont and C.S. Mott Children’s Hospitals or both. DMUM families have continuously inspired more than 20,000 dancers to fight (and dance) for continued development in the field of pediatric therapies. Dancers have had the privilege to build lasting relationships with our families through volunteering at therapies and at DMUM sponsored events. Over the course of the academic year, we host several different events bringing our DMUM families and dancers together to make unforgettable memories. But the family experience isn’t limited to just DMUM events, we have also expanded our family program to include parental support networks and family connections. The Family Relations Committee will be working throughout the year to make sure each and every family’s experience is the best it can be!

Our Family Relations Committee as well as the entire DMUM family is here to support you and your family’s unique needs. DMUM strives to make every family feel supported and celebrated throughout the entire year! It is our goal to help make more perfect days for our kiddos with challenges and bring smiles to their faces. Whether you are a returning family or a new DMUM family, we are beyond excited to be a part of your lives! We cannot wait to see you and create some memories with you all.
